The cuisine of Tenuta La Mandria of Candelo offers genuine dishes typical of Piemonte, agricultural and non-agricultural. Vegetables, fruits and a part of the meat, that of sheep, are produced directly by the farm and the rice is a DOP of Baraggia: Carnaroli and Baldo.
The environment is familiar and anyone can take part upon reservation. On request, menus can be customized. The availability of our own vegetables gives us the opportunity to prepare excellent menus for celiac and vegetarians.
Here are some examples of our specialties:
Appetizers: Mixed slices of local produce, salted pies with mixed vegetable vegetables, Chiaverano fresh tomini.
First courses: risotto with nettles, risotto with vegetables depending on the season: radicchio, pumpkin, artichokes, asparagus, etc. Pumpkin dumplings, various sized pasta with homemade ragout or vegetable season vegetables.
Second courses: roast beef, braised with red wine, baked lamb, pork, pork tenderloin, mixed grilled on request.
Varied contours and fresh seasonal fruit.
Sweets: home apple cake, chocolate cake and nuts, almond-shaped, fruit tiramisu, rice pie and pineapple.
Red and white wines from the Piemonte’s territory.
