The farmhouse "Tenuta La Mandria di Candelo" has been offering tourists accomodation for more than 50 years, probably it's the most ancient firm working in this field.

We offer hospitality in simple but comfortable rooms equipped with two or more beds and private bath, with sleeping and breakfast facilities only or with half or full board service. The meal, tipical dishes of this area, are prepared following the pure farmer tradition, using the farm products itself and that of oder associated farms.

"Tenuta La Mandria di Candelo" is settled in a wonderful landscape made by wide grassland and moors, alternated by sporadic tries and woody valleys.

This zone is called "Baraggia" and it presents itself as a close net of simple tracks and digged up streets with limited gradients, the most part of them could be covered by walk or by mountain-bike; the landscapes which appear in front of the visitors will never disappoint them.

The six parts that made the Baraggia reserve are surrounded by numerous different streets, which make it easily accessible. The visit at the most known part of the Baraggia, that named "Baraggione di Candelo-Cossato", offers the opportunity to see the beautiful ahd famous "Ricetto di Candelo", a small group of fortified buildings that date back to the late Middle Ages. Tanks to the wide territorial expansion of the Baraggia reserves (30 Km as the craw flies, facing 3 provinces), the visit at this area can give the chance to discover numerous and characteristic elements of interest close to it; fore example the historical centre of Masserano, the castle (XI-XV century) and the monastery (XIIIcent) of Castelletto Cervo, or the splendid castels of Castellengo and Rovasenda, St. Eusebio dei Pecurillis Church's (a romanic building) in Roasio, the sanctuary of Madonna di Rado (romanic building) in Gattinara, the centre of Romagnano Sesia and much more.
