Tenuta La Mandria

The Tenuta La Mandria of Candelo was born in the 50s and was founded by Davide Felice Aondio, a farsighted man, fond of agriculture, but above all animals and especially horses. During that historic period, the one immediately after the war, the Biellese farming economy was heavily in crisis, and the companies were unable to secure adequate household income. His idea was to transform the family farm into something different but that did not alter its nature, and therefore use the hay produced on the farm, no longer to feed dairy cattle, but horses dedicated to horse riding. The real intuition, however, was to associate this sport with hospitality. So here is the idea of "farm holiday", concept so far unknown. It can be said that all that today is termed "agriturism" was born here, in our farm that, as it was in the past, is still today a family-run farm and today sees the third generation engaged.
